Oilfield "Bust" Art

During busts and layoffs there are a thousand things to do around the house to make the misses happy and renew your position as a fatherly figure with the kids. One can get in better physical shape, clean the shop up, get the yard back in shape, fix the bad habits the horses all picked up in your absence, put new shocks on the pickup and even start a hobby. Over the next few months on Oily Stuff we'll show some incredibly talented ways to make artistic shit out of oilfield stuff that will knock your socks off.

In the photo above, for instance, an obviously bored hand took an old aluminum hard hat, ring gaskets from various flange to flange connections, and made a nice wind chime for the backyard. If this is hanging anywhere in Oklahoma it's clanging away all day long, guaranteed.
